STAY AWAY
In Daytona Beach Florida, near our house in Deltona Florida, my wife and I eagerly anticipated a show by Michelle Branch that we had seen before. We were looking forward to a Great show. After the initial rantings about her show in Sarasota and then going on to rip Daytona Apart and her ripping on the people at that show, I understand it's comedy and I am familiar with her but it did continue for quite a while. It just seemed over the top and being Daytona, most of the audience were tourists, so we gathered that they appreciated it. No, if that's what you are thinking, my wife and I are not grouchy old retirees. That could have been overlooked, but at the beginning of the show, everyone was asked to send her comments on what subject matter she would touch on. That was actually the funniest part, but we were kind of hoping there would be a little interjection on her part, but there wasn't. At which time she proceeded to read them during the show verbatim. The observations of the audience members were hysterical. But it went on for quite a long time. As far as her political satire, well, there was none. She mostly stayed in the safe spot politically in the middle of the road. Then told everyone about an audience member the night before in Sarasota that took offense to a Trump comment she made. In her brand of humor, shots at politicians are expected, and there were a few delivered very low key and then moving on to something else rapidly. Apparently we weren't the only ones, as we observed many others leaving early. To sum it up, if you don't have any material and have to rely on others to supply it, well then it might be time to hang it up and exit with some dignity. In my opinion, it may be time to hang it up.
